AYYAZ BAKERS & SWEETS began on GT Road in Mingora with one counter, one karahi and one rule that has never changed: nothing leaves the shop that we would not serve at our own table.
Our mithai is still made the slow way. Khoya is reduced in open karahis rather than bought in. Ghee is desi, never vanaspati. Pistachio and almond are graded by hand. The jalebi you buy in the evening was fried that evening.
Today we serve Swat from two branches β the original at Sohrab Khan Chowk, Shalimar Market, and our second at Main Fizagat Road, Bypass. Between them we bake through the day so that whichever counter you walk up to, what you are handed is fresh.
We cater weddings, walimas, Eid, corporate gifting and every ordinary Tuesday in between. If you have something particular in mind, call us β most of what we are proudest of started as somebody's special request.
